Corpus Christi Catholic School Recognized as a 2024 Archdiocesan School of Distinguished Instruction for Both Growth and Exceeding Potential
Lansdale, PA – September 3, 2024 – Corpus Christi Catholic School is proud to announce its recognition as a 2024 Archdiocesan School of Distinguished Instruction by the Archdiocese of Philadelphia for both Growth & Exceeding Potential. Corpus Christi School has been consistently included in this distinguished list since 2019, marking this as the third consecutive year we have been honored for both categories.
Corpus Christi School’s principal, Mrs. Maria Greenberg, will join other honorees to receive this award at a special ceremony hosted by the Archdiocese of Philadelphia’s Office of Catholic Education on Thursday, September 5, 2024, at 4:30 p.m. The ceremony will be presided over by Father Philip G. Bochanski, Vicar General and Moderator of the Curia for the Archdiocese of Philadelphia, and Father Stephen DeLacy, Vicar for the Office for Faith Formation for Youth and Young Adults for the Archdiocese of Philadelphia. Dr. Andrew McLaughlin, Secretary for Elementary Education for the Archdiocese of Philadelphia, along with other senior administrators from the Office of Catholic Education, will also be in attendance.
Recognition for Growth and Exceeding Potential is awarded based on students' performance on standardized tests. Growth was determined by comparing the Normal Curve Equivalent (NCE) scores from this year’s testing to the NCE scores from the previous academic year, with schools showing a full year’s growth in total mastery of skills at every level tested. Exceeding Potential was recognized by analyzing data from ability testing (InView) and achievement testing (Terra Nova), where schools demonstrated that the majority of classes met or exceeded their potential in all content areas, with a growth rate between 76% and 90%.
“We are incredibly proud to be recognized once again for our dedication to fostering academic excellence,” said Mrs. Greenberg, Principal of Corpus Christi School. “This award is a testament to the hard work of our students, the commitment of our faculty, and the unwavering support of our school community. We remain dedicated to helping each student reach their full potential.”
