Grades K-8

 Our school day officially begins at 8:30* a.m. and ends at 3:00 p.m. Children may enter their classrooms beginning at 8:00 a.m.

Here at CCCS, we have a qualified, experienced, caring faculty dedicated to fostering the development of our students.  A rigorous academic curriculum is provided for all children in grades K through 8th with programs in Religion, Art, Computer Science, Music, Library Science, Physical Education, Spanish and Honors Mathematics.  We comply with the Archdiocese of Philadelphia Schools Academic Curriculum (http://www.aopcatholicschools.org/elementary-schools/curriculum/).

We offer classrooms with Smart board technology and state of the art technology (Google classroom, Google Chromebooks, Apple TVs, 1:1 iPad learning, etc.).  We also have a renovated gymnasium, Science lab, computer technology lab, art studio and music center.

Faculty members have an average of 15 years teaching experience and many have advanced degrees.  All classroom faculty members are state-certified and comply with diocesan religion certification requirements.

For the 2016-2017 academic year, we are proud to introduce a new reader series (Journeys) and science program (Science Fusion) into our curriculum.  We also incorporated into our curriculum web based learning databases which include but are not limited to: Destiny, PebbleGo, TumbleBooks, World Book Online, etc.

At CCCS:

  • Opportunities for student leadership and service are provided through our Student Council and Outreach program;
  • Students are exposed to the arts through string and band instruments, chorus, dance and drama;
  • Optional extracurricular activities include Reading Olympics, Math and Science Bowls, Robotics, Drama Club, Science Explorers; Scouting, Dance, Media Club, Computer Club and Athletics.

 *Before (CCCS Morning Care) and After-School (Kid View) care is available.  Please check the applicable sites for additional information.
